Lemons and Your Liver

I do a lot of health-related reading, and stumbled upon a good piece of advice not too long ago.
I'm a casual drinker. By casual, I mean, I'm very causal when I drink weekly. As a health enthusiast, I've started to worry about the effects this is going to have on my body.

According to this one lady, she said that keeping lemons handy is a good thing for all of you casual drinkers. Drink a glass of water in the morning with a sliced lemon in it. Now, you're probably not going to want to slice a lemon at 10:00 AM after going out all night, as the world spins around you, so precslice it for easy access. Your liver and immune system will thank you.

Microwavable Food I Can Stand By

A revamped Veggie Patty by Morning Star has really made me feel good about life. I generally eat nonprocessed, whole, wonderful, fresh foods, that have a a great deal of nutritional merit, while watching my daily calories.

Eating, therefore, you can imagine, can be difficult when it comes to going out or heading over to the very uncomfortably cold freezer section of the market. I was looking for Bocca Burgers, when I realized that My Neighborhood market, I guess, stopped carrying the brand. It was Morning Star galore in the misappropriated BREAKFAST area. So I snagged the Veggie Patty, cooked it, along with lightly steamed broccoli and carrots, with a tbsp. of hummus on the side. It was delicious. Truly satisfying.

The exciting thing about this patty is that you can actually SEE the vegetables. You see onions, water chesnuts, and carrots. Its not just an amalgomation of green flecks lost in a sea of brown mush.

No, I would reccommend this new burger. 110 calories per burger. Its worth it. Do it. I'm on the Morining Star Train. Sorry, Bocca.

AVERT YOUR EYES!! If You Like Dumb Stuff..'Cause This is not That

This is the art work of my friend Scott Henderson, an Oklahoma City artiste. Since I've devoted myself to knowing about interesting, worthwhile events that enrich our great city, I would suggest attending his art show tonight at Istvan Gallery tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Scott specializes in multi media productions that becon you to come closer and look at the surreal, and wonderful realities he creates in his art work. Go to this. Support a wonderful guy, and wonderful artist in OKC.
Ya, so its short notice. I just started this thing today. And even if no one is reading this, that's okay, I'm happy to spread the cheer about Scott's work! keep an eye out.

Procrastination Station - What to do when one must study for final exams..Create a blog

Its Friday afternoon. I took the day off to study for my semi-difficult finals (on a scale of 1 to 10, they are all like a 5.6 to a 7). What do I do when I have been forced to sit down, look at material I have already been tested over, while Wife Swap plays in the other room? I start a blog. Summer is upon me, and I feel like its an ideal time to embark on this strange frontier. I wonder if this was inspired by watching Julie and Julia three times last week? Which is a movie I would reccommend, by the way. This is among one of the many topics I will be talking about in said new blog. Continue reading...

Here's what I hope to entice you with: Nutrition, Food, healthy places to dine, living on a dime, school, night life, movies, music, things-I- care about -that- I- think -you- should -care -about- because- they- are-just -too- cool -not to. Events, and exercise.

My life has done a lot of changing, oh, within the past 365 days or so, and with this change, has come so many wonderful new discoveries and people. Life is good. Let's talk about it.

I would like to end by publishing my first opinion on this blog of mine, that I've named "On the Beam" which, according to thesaurus.com, means "hip" and "in the know." Okay, here it goes:
Pirate Radio: Dont See.
Julie and Julia: Go see.
